Even though we were shut down in our attempts to get Oscar nominees like Sandra Bullock (Sorry, not available) or George Clooney (but thank you for the offer) to tell us their favorite beers; the Beer Chicks will not be deterred in bringing The Academy Awards and beer together. What? You think that beer has always been the wicked stepchild of Glamourtown's beverage family? Well think again. Academy Award nominated actors abound in the world of beer.

In addition to his performance in The Hurt Locker, one of this years' nominees for Best Actor, Jeremy Renner, also gives a stellar performance in this Bud Light commercial.

Does the voice in this Budweiser commercial sound familiar? It's Mr. "Appreciate the Offer" George Clooney himself, nominated this year for an Oscar for Best Actor for Up In The Air. (We kid, George.)

Okay, so it may have been in 1985, but Harrison Ford was nominated for an Oscar for his role as Det. Capt. John Book in the Amish/thriller Witness. Here is he doing a shirtless beer commercial for Kirin Lager! Shirtless and speaking Japanese, yeah!

Brad Pitt has been nominated twice for an Academy Award. Once in 1995 for Best Supporting Actor for acting all crazy in Twelve Monkeys and recently in 2008 for Best Actor for his performance of the aging backwards Benjamin in The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons. Here he is making a reported $4 million for starring in a Heineken commercial that only aired once in the United States during the 2005 Superbowl. Must be rough being Brad Pitt.
