The Beer Chicks
The Beer Chicks are Christina Perozzi and Hallie Beaune; Beer Sommeliers, Consultants, and Authors based in Los Angeles. They are nationally featured experts in the world of beer, and have recently appeared on FOX’s ‘Hell’s Kitchen’, The Cooking Channel’s ‘Food(ography)’ and on their own one hour special combining their love of beer, food and spirits on The Cooking Channel called ‘Eat This, Drink That.’ They’ve also appeared numerous times as beer experts on radio and in print, including ‘KCRW’s Good Food, ‘Gourmet Magazine’ and ‘Everyday with Rachael Ray.’ Together they curate the beers for the LA Craft Beer Crawl, an annual downtown Los Angeles beer festival featuring craft and artisanal beers from some of the world’s finest breweries. Christina and Hallie have consulted on some of the best beer lists in Los Angeles, creating a unique selection of craft beer at each venue, and training staff on the intricacies of beer. The Beer Chicks are proprietors of a small, curated craft beer bottle store in historic downtown Los Angeles called the 8th Street Bottle Shop, where beer lovers can peruse the list of unique offerings from some of the finest breweries and purchase craft beer and liquor to go. Christina and Hallie continue to spread the good word of beer. Their first book, ‘The Naked Pint: An Unadulterated Guide to Craft Beer’ (Penguin, NY) was released in 2009 to wide acclaim and their new book ‘The Naked Brewer: Fearless Homebrewing, Tips, Tricks & Rule-breaking Recipes’ will be released in October of 2012. The Beer Chicks are avid homebrewers and devoted home cooks. They live by the motto: Beer is Good.
